Ray is President of the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association, the state trade association representing Virginia’s cable industry. Ray’s principle responsibilities are representing Virginia’s cable industry before members of the Virginia General Assembly and the United States Congress. Ray has served in this capacity since 2005.
Ray serves as a board member on the Governor’s Rural Broadband Advisory Council, the Virginia TeleHealth Network, the Virginia Utility Protection Services Board of Directors, and the Virginia State Corporation Committee’s Public Affairs Committee on Utility Safety Awareness. Ray was the former Chairman of the Board for the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.
He has served on the St. Mary’s Hospital Community Affairs Committee and the Benedictine High School Athletic Foundation.
Prior to joining the VCTA, Ray was the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Virginia Bankers Association.
Ray is a graduate from Mary Washington College, with a BA in Economics, The School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia and The Robert Morris School of Commercial Lending.
