Cyndi Finley serves as the project manager for a variety of programs within the division of Academic and Workforce Programs at the Virginia Community College System. She is the director of the Virginia Infrastructure Academy as well as other workforce programs and projects. Her current projects include serving targeted demographics often with multiple barriers to overcome and state wide financial aid for noncredit programs.
Cyndi joined VCCS in 2017 to work on the SNAP E&T research program in partnership with the Virginia Department of Social Services. The SNAP E&T pilot was a three-year research project providing education, training and employment assistance to SNAP recipients in Virginia.
Cyndi has a unique background steeped in both education and programming with over 20 years of professional experience in government, grants, and federal projects.
Cyndi’s experience in nonprofit, federal and state programs afford her a well-rounded professional platform complimented by her educational accomplishments with a Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of from Virginia Tech and she is currently finishing a PhD program at Old Dominion University.
